2025 Run Free by Singlefile Sauvignon Blanc

VINEYARD & WINEMAKING

The 2025 Great Southern growing season saw plenty of rainfall over winter, followed by a dry and warm spring and summer, encouraging early ripening with full fruit flavours. The strong growing conditions allowed for the expression of tropical fruit characters.

This 2025 sauvignon blanc was picked early in the morning in pristine conditions in late-February 2025. The fruit was destemmed and pressed; the juice transferred directly into stainless steel tanks and temperature controlled to ensure a slow and gentle fermentation. After fermentation, the wine was kept on its lees and gently stirred weekly until we achieved a delicate balance between primary fruit characters and texture.

THE WINE

The wine is a glistening pale yellow in the glass and offers delicate but inviting aromatics. The nose shows crisp green apple and citrus aromas, with notes of green beans and a whisper of tropical passionfruit. The palate displays subtle texture while still retaining freshness that one comes to expect from premium sauvignon blanc. Bright tropical fruit flavours are supported by Granny Smith apple and a touch of grapefruit sharpness, with a refreshing, zippy acidity. The finish is pure and lingers on the palate.

Tainted as I have been by the unpleasant characters of some Sav Blanc wines, to me this wine was a pleasant epiphany. The restrained, elegant bouquet was followed by a wine with the rich fruit flavours and dry wine characteristics that made it an ideal lunch time accompaniment.

This wine was fruity, crisp and refreshing. A nice dry white that is best enjoyed crispy cold. We just had it on its own but also be paired nicely with a cheese/fruit platter. Very nice indeed

This is a lovely wine that we enjoyed with friends over dinner. It was effortless and light and paired beautifully with our chicken dish.

I do enjoy a Saivignon blanc and this one was very enjoyable with a very crisp, clean palate. Would definitely purchase this one again!

Who doesn't love a cheeky little sav blanc?? Well this one is particularly yummy! Light and super easy to drink. I enjoyed this with Thai food and it was amazing!

Oh my word. I just enjoyed this one served up with a creamy Mumbai spice curry (halloumi vegetarian alternative) and I am in heaven. First super warm day for the season and feel like I’m on Christmas holidays.

This wine reminds me of a warm night with a clear starry sky, it’s refreshing yet complex. A gentle lemon acidity at the front with a buttery finish to balance. A light and delicious wine.

Enjoyed on a warm afternoon, served ice cold, this was perfect. You can taste the green apple notes, and a delicious tang with the acidity. Perfect for drinking as is, or alongside a cheese platter.

Reminiscent of a buttery Chardonnay but not as heavy, with the flavour of a green Granny. Refreshing acidity cleansing the palate pairing with the slightly caramelised onion of tonight's dish of a lemon and garlic chicken with cannellini beans. Light body showing lean legs.

A beautiful wine to enjoy chilled, pairing it with fish would be delicious and noticed hints of lime and green apple. Would definitely enjoy this again.

Appearance: Pale straw colour, shimmering with clarity and brilliance.

Nose: Vibrant aromas of citrus fruits, with the fresh scent of green apple. Hints of nectarines add a subtle stone fruit complexity.

Palate: The first sip reveals a striking high acidity, giving the wine a crisp and refreshing flavour. The full-bodied nature, tartness of green apple takes in contrast to the ripe nectarines that round out the flavour profile.

Finish: The finish is long and lively, with the strong alcohol contributing a warming sensation that lingers, enhancing the overall experience.

This Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect balance of fruitiness and acidity, we chose to have it with a garlic prawns and it was delicious!

Oooh. Very moorish. Lots of citrus and troplical fruits like passion fruit and lemon, more like lemon butter… it’s certainly does not has the high acid on the palate that I expected after smelly the wine… it’s very well balanced. Some herbal, slightly green capsicum notes and maybe a smidge of nectarines - but the bit right near the pip. Enjoy ice cold, with friends.
