Small Batch Collection
From time to time we see small parcels of fruit that stand out in the vineyard or winery and this project gives us the opportunity to give these wines their own voice.
This wine was produced in the traditional style of the Pessac-Léognan in the Graves region of Bordeaux. The selected fruit went to 100% new oak for five months which added texture, complexity and subtle spice flavours.
A fuller bodied style pinot with lifted aromas of forest berries, earthiness, spice and funk. These characters follow through on the palate with a medium weight and textured mouth feel with fine tannins and a long finish. This wine is well suited to complement red meat dishes especially duck. Drink now or allow this to continue to develop in the bottle for 15+ years.
This wine displays bright and vibrant aromas of dark berries, plum and violet against a background of cedar and some graphite minerality. The fruit characters follow through on the palate with dark fruit, blackberry and a subtle savoury edge. A pleasing medium weight and textured mouthfeel lead to complex, dry tannins and a flavoursome soft finish.
A medium bodied mataro with earthy aromas, blueberry, plum and spice. These characters follow through on the palate with a medium weight and textured mouthfeel. Oak takes a back seat as the fine tannins lead to a long and flavoursome finish.
A richer styled Grenache with floral aromas of violets, dark berries and subtle spices. These characters follow through on the palate which has a nice plush mouth feel with medium weight and subtle fine tannins and a long flavoursome finish. A wine to be enjoyed with fine food.
