Pouring a dense, deep red, the wine reveals complex aromas of inky mulberry and cassis, layered with notes of plum, dark cherry and a subtle hint of tobacco. On the palate, ripe, plush fruit flavours unfold alongside cedar nuances from oak, lifted by brighter accents of raspberry. These flavours are framed by pronounced dusty, savoury tannins, carrying through to a long, lingering finish. Well suited to red meat dishes such as roast leg of lamb, the wine also pairs beautifully with hearty pasta dishes and strong, hard cheeses.
